Finger Paints: Enchanted Mermaid Collection Review and Nail Look

Hello! Today I have a review and a nail look to share with you!
While at Sally's Beauty Supply yesterday a new Finger Paints display caught my eye. It was for a small 4 polish collection called Enchanted Mermaid. All 4 colors were pretty but I was about to pass them up until I read that they were textured! I still really love textured polish so grabbed the 2 that I liked the most and was on my way!

The first color that caught my eye was Sea Temptress, an opalescent white. The second color was Tails of Love which is a metallic-y teal. I couldn't wait to try them out and was surprised when I saw that the texture wasn't the usual texture that I've come to expect. Instead of little grains of sand the texture in these polishes are little hexagonal pieces. It's different and a bit rougher than a sandy texture but I really don't mind it.

(Here's a close up of one nail so you can see the texture better)

I like that it's something new and it really goes with the mermaid theme (they look and  feel ocean-y if that makes sense). I really love both colors and only used 2 coats of each. As most textured polishes do, these dried pretty fast. I also noticed that the colors didn't get dull as they dried, they still have a bit of a shine to them. They were easy to apply too. Overall I'd say they're great. If you're not tired of textured polishes yet or want to try out a new texture then the Enchanted Mermaid collection might be something you'd like to check out.

While I was painting my nails I wanted to try on both colors so I painted two accent nails of Sea Temptress and they really reminded me of pearls next to the teal nails. Then I got the idea to see if I had an ocean themed stamping plate. Once I found one with little shells and starfishes, I used a white polish to stamp over the teal nails and left the pearly nails alone. The stamping was just something quick and fun to try out and I really ended up liking it! :)
I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for stopping by!

Chrome Water Marble

Hello :)! While at the store that other day I saw that Sally Hansen had released chrome polishes called Color Foils. I love chrome polishes so I picked up 3. I didn't have a plan for them at the time but just yesterday I decided to see if I could water marble with them.
I used a black polish as my base for the marble. I then went about the usual water marble steps.

The black base gave the marble a dark tint. I imagine that a white or silver base would brighten the look. Either way these nails were super hard to photograph. The shiny finish just reflected everything and made my camera go crazy! I the two photos I picked for this post were the best I could get. They look so much better in person, I wish the photos would have turned out better.

Textured 4th of July Nails

Happy 4th of July!!
Hello! I did some quick 4th of July nails for today! I wasn't sure if I'd have time to do them but last night I decided to do something easy that wouldn't take a lot of time.
I did a red, white, and blue sponge gradient with textured polishes and did 2 accent nails of a matte glitter! It was the easiest nail art I could think of besides just painting my nails a solid color lol! I had bought the matte glitter for 4th of July nails that I didn't get to try out but I still decided to use it for these nails anyway.

I did these nails in about 40 minutes! I painted the textured polishes onto a sponge and dabbed them on and then painted on the glitter. I did 3 coats for all nails. Luckily, the glitter dried as fast as the textured polishes and all I had to do was clean up and add topcoat to the glitter. I really liked how they ended up especially since I did them so fast!

Glowing Gradient Birthday Nails

Hello!!! I have some fun Birthday nails to show you today! Since tomorrow is my birthday I decided to use some of the new polishes I recently bought.
I ordered a few polishes from The Ultimate Fandom Collection by Dollish Polish and all the polishes in the Neon Glow in the Darks by Serum No. 5! Since I couldn't help myself,  I figured that I'd buy them as my present to myself heehee! Luckily they were both delivered last week.

Okay onto my nails! I knew I wanted to do a gradient with the glow polishes but with so many colors to chose from it took a while to decide. I settled on the purple and blue! I had also ordered a reflective topcoat from Serum No. 5 so I chose that as an accent nail. I painted a white base for the gradient nails and went about the usual sponge gradient steps. Once I was done with that and let my nails dry for a bit, I used two coats of the amazing The Deathly Hallows by Dollish Polish over the gradient!

After adding topcoat and doing all the clean up I was all done! I'm so happy with how my nails turned out! I love all the polishes I used, they all just went together so well for this look. The accent nail is called Flashing Lights and it really does reflect light! I couldn't get a good enough picture of it but in the picture above you can kind of see it. The picture doesn't show how reflective it really is but trust me its beautiful :) You can see it in action on Serum No. 5's instagram.

The best part of any Serum No. 5 glow polish is the glow! As always They're the brightest glowing polishes I own and I love them! They're just so fun :) They make my camera go crazy trying to capture the glow but fun nonetheless.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and loved this design as much as I do! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog :)

OPI Neon Star Burst Water Marble

Hi! For today's post I tried doing a new water marble! I saw a video by PackAPunchPolish on how to do a star burst water marble and I had to try it out.
I recently bought the whole Neon Collection by OPI and thought they'd be great for trying out this water marble. I used all 6 polishes to do these star burst nails :)

I spilt the collection in half and used 3 colors on some nails and the other 3 on the rest of my nails. The OPI Neon collection had a white base coat to help brighten the colors so I used that as the base for this water marble. I followed the video from PackAPunchPolish to get the design. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! I like that it was something different for me to try out while doing a water marble.

Matte Water Marble Nails

Hello :) ! I have some bright nails to show you today! Since it's starting to feel like summer weather here I felt like doing a bright water marble. I recently bought the whole Orly Baked collection because it has such nice bright colors. I used 3 of the polishes for these marble nails.

I painted each nail with one coat of the lightest color. After letting that dry a bit I did the water marble. Once all my nails were done and left to dry for a while I added a matte topcoat. While I was doing clean up I decided to add some dots in the opposite colors.

I liked that the dots gave a little extra to the water marble. I also left the dots shiny so they'd stand out even more against the matte marble. I really liked how these nails ended up looking. Plus the bright colors were just fun to wear!

Textured Rainbow Nails

Hello! For today's post I wanted to do another rainbow gradient like the Holographic Neon Rainbow nails I did a few weeks ago. I had some textured polishes out and just decided to do a textured rainbow gradient!
I just painted the colors for each nail onto a piece of triangle sponge and applied it to my nail. I went over each nail 3 times and I was done :)

Sabrina's Nail Blog Textured Rainbow Gradient Nails

It's one of the easiest gradients I've done! It took maybe about 30 minutes for both hands. The clean up was quick too. I always find it's much easier to clean up textured polishes than it is with normal polish.

I really liked how these nails turned out! While editing the pictures I was thinking that they would have looked cute with some stamping too. Maybe I'll redo them and try that out someday!

Lizzie McGuire Nails

Hi Hi!! I'm really excited to share today's post with you! If you ever the Disney Channel in the early 2000's then I hope you'll like these nails!! I used to love watching the Disney Channel because one of my favorite shows was Lizzie McGuire. It was just a fun show with a cute cartoon Lizzie.

(Cartoon Lizzie image found on google)

I knew when I planned these nails that I wanted to try and paint cartoon Lizzie's face. The polish I used for her face looks almost white in the pictures but it just wouldn't photograph correctly :/

On the remaining nails I used some colorful textured polishes to paint on a little scalloped design. I felt like all the bright colors just fit with Lizzie's fun and quirky outfits on the show. I really like these nails! I'm so happy with how they turned out :)
