Christmas Gradient

Merry Christmas!!
Yay! It's Christmas!
Today's holiday nails are glittery, gradient  awesomness!

Sabrina's Nail Blog Red Green Christmas Glitter Sponge Gradient

For these nails I did the standard sponge gradient using red and green polish. After getting them to blend, I sponged on sparkly red and green polishes just to add extra shimmer.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Red Green Christmas Glitter Sponge Gradient

On my ring and index nails I just painted the nail and while it was still wet I dipped it into glitter. I pressed the glitter down gently to make sure it stuck then just put on a clear topcoat. The glittered nails did soak up the topcoat so after letting them dry for a while, I painted over a thicker topcoat.
I like how the glitter nails and the gradient both turned out and I think they looked pretty together :)

Midnight Snow

Here's another snowflake mani! This is what I imagine snow falling at night would look like.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Midnight Snowflake nails Christmas Konad Stamping

I painted my nails a metallic blue then sponged on some silver and black polish to give it a blotchy, darkened look. Once it was all dried I stamped on white snowflakes and covered it all with a matte topcoat!

(Please excuse the dragging on thumb, I was a bit impatient lol)

I love that the matte polish gave the sponged blue a velvety look. I think it fit with the whole look :)

Xmas Foils

Hello!! Today I thought I'd try out some of my nail foils! I'm still not completely great at applying them but I think they turned out pretty good compared to past attempts.
This whole design was mainly me just playing around :)

I wasn't too sure of what to do for my accent nail. After looking through my nail art stuff I decided on covering my nail in red and green rhinestones!! I'm glad I did because I really ended up liking how everything looked together.

Let It Snow!

For Today's post I have some snowflake nails to show you!! It doesn't really snow where I live but I've always loved to think that just maybe it'd get cold enough to someday.
While hoping to see even a little snow I decided that I'd do a snowflake mani.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Snowflake nails Christmas

I used my favorite Zoya polish, Luna, as the base. It's a really sheer light gray polish packed with silver glitter. Three thin coats gives me an opaque coverage. If there was ever a polish I think I could use up, it would be Luna!

Sabrina's Nail Blog Snowflake nails Christmas

For the snowflakes I used various images from different brands of nail plates. I stamped them on with white, light blue, and a brighter blue. I liked that the blues just added some color and a bit more iciness to the whole look!

Christmas Glitter Explosion

Hi! Today's post is a swatch of an amazing Christmas polish from Glitzology! It's a super Christmas-y glitter called Mrs. Grinch. I looooove it! It's like the Grinch exploded!

Sabrina's Nail Blog Mrs Grinch Glitzology stamping Konad Bunny Nails

It has tiny matte light green glitter, medium matte red squares, matte red bars, and larger matte green squares. All those combined create one of the prettiest and most festive Christmas glitters I've ever owned or seen!

Once I had worn Mrs. Grinch for a few days I decided to try some stamping over it. I had recently ordered Bunny Nails HD Holiday plates and I wanted to test them out too! I loved how big and crisp the pictures on the plates were. There are so many images to chose from, I love these plates.

Christmas Splatter

Hello!! For today I have a splatter mani for you! In Christmas Colors!!!!

Sabrina's Nail Blog Christmas Splatter Manicure red green nails

I like splatter manis! They're fun to do and never turn out the same. I don't mind that they can be kinda messy at all. I think that's part of the fun in doing them for me :)

Sabrina's Nail Blog Christmas Splatter Manicure red green nails

I just painted my nails with a white polish and then started splattering on the red and green! I used 2 different reds and one green but I think it'd also be fun to try alternating the splatter color on each nail between red and green. Or even painting your nails red and just doing a green splatter. Lots of Christmas splatter possibilities!

Christmas Striping Tape

For today's Christmas post I used striping tape! I've had the tape for a while now and finally decided to use it :) This design was fairly easy to do. I just painted my nails red. After it was dry I put the striping tape on the parts I wanted to stay red or in whatever design I wanted. Then I just painted on a green glitter and removed the tape before the glitter dried.

I like it! The green doesn't show up too well in the the pictures but it still looks cool.
I can't wait to try doing this again in different colors!

Oh The Who-manity!

Hi!! I know I'm late on starting with my Christmas posts but I've been a bit busy. For today's post I just have a simple mani. I recently bought a fun holiday polish from Above The Curve. It's a red and green glitter suspended in a milky base.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Christmas Glitter Oh The Who-Manity Above the Curve

I love it! It's a sheer polish so I layered it over a milky base color. I like that the polish is festive without being too much. I also love that the name is from one of my favorite Christmas movies ever, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Gobble Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

I'm super excited to post this nail design for you today :) It's an idea I've had since last year that I never got a chance to try because of computer issues. Thankfully, today I'm able to show you my Thanksgiving mani of Turkey nails!!!

Please excuse my shorter thumb nail, I broke it a few days ago and didn't feel like gluing on a fake nail.

For this design I painted a silly turkey on my thumb nail and a little bit of feathers. Then on my other nails I used some colors that make me think of Fall to paint on feathers.

I hope those of you celebrating Thanksgiving have a wonderful day with family and friends! If you're not celebrating then I still hope you have a wonderful day :)

Graveyard Nails

Happy Halloween!!!
For my final Halloween nail design I did graveyard nails! I wasn't sure of what nails I was going to wear for today so I just decided to see what I could come up with. I started out with blue glow in the dark nails and wondered what they'd look like if I sponged a grayish color over them. I thought it looked like a spooky night sky so I added some brown and green sponging on the tips.

Then I started painting on little gravestones and a scary tree. I added some gray clouds and a moon.

I thought it'd be fun to add a person shaped ghost by the tree.

I added some gray crackle to the gravestones to make then look old. I really like how these nails turned out!

Spiders!!

For today's Halloween nail art post I have spider nails!! I hate spiders but I thought they'd make a fun design :) I did some stamping and a bit of freehand to complete these nails. I did a purple to gray gradient on each nail just so the background wouldn't be one plain color. I also added some glow in the dark polish to the webs. Sadly I couldn't get any good photos to post.

Aliens Nails

Today's nails are Alien faces!! My little brother gave me this idea! I decided they'd be fun to try out so here they are :)

Sabrina's Nail Blog UFO Alien Nails

I started out by painting all my nails a sparkly black. Then I used a white polish to create the alien face shapes. Once it dried I painted over the white with a bright green. Finally I added big alien eyes and a little mouth. I also added nostrils to some of the aliens cause I couldn't decide if I like them with or without.

Halloween Sherds

Hello!! Today I was trying to think of something easy I could do. I remembered that I had bought a shredded glitter polish from Icing early in the summer that I still hadn't used so I thought today would be a good time :)
Since the polish was black I painted my nails a pumpkin orange and just added the glitter. I like it! The glitter shreds make me think that it's just the left overs after they cut out the glitter shapes lol! I usually don't like these glitters because sometimes they stick up even with a good topcoat but this one didn't seem to do that too bad :) Overall I like the mani a lot!

Eye See You...

Look into my eyes!! Lol! Since last year I've had an idea in my head about putting googly eyes on my nails! I've finally decided to try it out. I originally only thought of painting all my nails black and then sticking on the eyes. While planning it out I decided that I'd like to try something a little different.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Halloween googly eyes creepy eyes

I went to a craft store and bought the smallest googly eyes I could. I started out by painting 2 of my nails black and letting those dry while I moved onto my other nails. On my thumb and ring finger I painted my nails purple then painted on an orange and black glitter that I made myself. On my middle finger I painted an eye! I wanted it to be a creepy eye so I made it a reddish brown color. Then I started placing my googly eyes with clear topcoat. I didn't want too many on each nail so I just put what would fit without making them looked too squished. I also didn't add topcoat on over the eyes. I just used a dotting tool to put drops between the eyes so they'd be more secure.

The googly eyes surprisingly stayed on for a few days without falling off. I loved this creepy googly eyed mani :) It was fun to wear around.

Color Changing Pumpkins

Today I have a fun mani to share! Earlier this year I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle of Del Sol Trick or Treat! Del Sol makes polishes that change color in the sun and Trick or Treat is one of their best in my opinion :)

In the shade its a glittery orange polish with a little holographic glitter.

In sunlight the polish quickly changes into a black polish but you can still see the holo glitter!!
Sabrina's Nail Blog Halloween Del Sol Trick or Treat Konad Stamping Bundle Monster Pumpkins

It's such a fun polish to play with!
After wearing it on its own for a day I decided I'd stamp some pumpkins on it!

Then I went out in the sun and tried getting some good pictures.
The sun wasn't as bright as the day before so I don't think it changed all the way or it just looked less black in comparison to the stamp. Either way I still loved this mani!

Orange and Black Halloween Gradient Nails

October is here!! I'm so excited to show you some fun Halloween themed nail art that I've been planning!
For my first post of the month I decided to do an orange to black gradient :) I started out by painting all my nails orange then sponging on black once it was dry. After letting the black dry for a few minutes I put orange and black on my sponge and then dabbed it on till the orange and black on the nail looked blended enough. I love doing gradients cause they're so easy!

Mexican Independence Day Nails

Today is Mexico's Independence Day! Yesterday I went to a festival/concert to celebrate with my family :)
I thought it'd be fun to try and do some fun Mexican flag inspired nails! I started out by painting all my nails white. Then I sponged on green, white, and red polish to create a flag gradient background. Once that was dry I used a dotting tool and tried my best to draw the eagle from the center of the Mexican flag. The eagles didn't turn out very good since my nails are quite short at the moment but I still think that what I could fit looked cute :)

Left Hand

Once I had finished the left hand I decided to just randomly sponge on green, white, and red on my right nails. I also added some glitter to give them a little extra sparkle! I love how these turned out!
I really liked both designs actually lol!
I hope you enjoyed this post and check back soon for more :)
